Product overview

How Aramid Cloth is used.

The overview explains typical buyer context without replacing customer testing, engineering validation or official batch documents.

Aramid Fabric is selected for composite laminates that require impact resistance, abrasion resistance and low weight. It is commonly used with epoxy, vinyl ester and other compatible resin systems.

Compared with carbon fiber, aramid has lower compressive stiffness but better toughness and energy absorption. It is often combined with carbon fiber to balance stiffness and impact performance.

FRP HOME supplies standard aramid cloth and carbon/aramid hybrid options for distributors and composite product manufacturers.

How to choose this product

Selection guidance before sampling.

01

Start with tow size, weave type, areal weight, width, roll length and target process.

02

Use woven fabric for balanced handling and appearance; use UD when directional reinforcement is required.

03

Keep spread tow under woven carbon fiber fabric, with a separate spread tow product discussion when needed.

FAQ

Common buyer questions.

Why use aramid fabric with carbon fiber?

Carbon fiber provides stiffness, while aramid can improve impact and abrasion behavior. Hybrid layups are common where both properties matter.

Can aramid fabric be supplied in custom colors?

Pure para-aramid is normally yellow. Colored effects are usually achieved with hybrid yarns or decorative fabric design.
